From my setting. Had the itch to draw this in full color for about 2 years now. Along with the process is the B&W concept I did during HQ shifts.
Right: Tantrik. Tantriks are priests and holy men, wielders of divine magic, or "Deva Magic", which is the dominant type of magic in those lands. Like most mortal servants of the divine, some of these folks will dedicate their lives of service tending to their communities or leading temple rituals, while others take up arms against the ever present monsters, demons and foreign barbarians. Yet few others lead monastic lives in search of enlightenment.
Generally speaking, adventuring and trouble seeking are highly frowned upon for Tantriks of the higher castes, but divinity is just as likely to manifest in the commoners and the lowborn - Such individuals are more likely to take up a more dangerous lifestyle, hoping to improve their lot in life or gain enough spiritual advancement to earn a better place in the next.
Middle: Demon Hunter. These brave men dedicate themselves to hunting down and eradicating the demonic entities that lurk just outside of Chanumari civilization, as well as those who walk amongst men undisturbed. While most hail from a martial background, such as nobles and soldiers, a rare few war priests or shamans may take up this path. Demon Hunters are easily recognized by their bestial looking masks and body paint. Particularly skilled and successful individuals also wear the pelts and skins of beasts beaten in combat - All such trappings are believed to instill fear in their supernatural foes.
Interestingly enough, Chanumari law permits even the lowborn to take up the path of the Demon Hunter - It is widely believed that confronting and properly slaying the tainted forms of demons is a form of penance.
Left: Mantrik. Mantriks are mystics and sorcerers, shunned by society for their practice of "Demon Magic" - The term itself is not unearned, for all Mantriks work, to some extent or another, with The Yandgura, a trio of banished Asuras. The typical Mantrik lives just at the fringe of society, living off whatever he can scrounge, while practicing his rituals and making offerings to his patrons. Although the powers they wield can be considerable, only the most desperate will openly seek out their help.
